Alocasia Dragon Scale 6"
The Alocasia Dragon Scale, also known as Alocasia baginda ‘Dragon Scale,’ is a striking tropical houseplant prized for its thick, textured leaves resembling a dragon’s scales. Its silvery green foliage features deep-green veins and a slightly metallic finish, creating a dramatic three-dimensional appearance.
Mature plants may produce a greenish-white inflorescence consisting of a hood-like spathe surrounding a central flower spike called a spadix. Flowering is uncommon indoors, and this compact Alocasia is primarily grown for its extraordinary foliage.
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and fade their distinctive coloring.
Watering
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist during active growth, but never soggy. Reduce watering during winter if the plant’s growth slows.
